Rosa Parks Library and Museum & Children’s Wing
The museum features a recreated street scene andreenactment on the bus, with video footage that transportswitnesses to the fateful dayon December 1, 1955. Additional exhibits lead visitors on an emotional journey through the days of the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which became the first step on the often difficult path to Civil Rights in America.
Through the use of multi-media presentations via the "Cleveland Avenue Time Machine," the Children's Wing prepares visitors for the museum reenactment experience involving Rosa Parks, and helps children learn about the early "Jim Crow" laws as it related to racial segregation.
