Civil Rights Memorial & Center

The Civil Rights Memorial, designed by Maya Lin, serves as a vehicle for education and reflection.  Water flows over a granite table inscribed with the names of forty individuals who died during the modern Civil Rights Movement.  The Center offers a 20-minute film, interactive exhibits and the Wall of Tolerance.  Memorial – Free Admission. Open Mon. – Sun. dawn to dusk. Center – Admission Charge. Open Mon. – Sat.
