“The Last Ride” Movie Premiere - Thursday, October 20th |

Please join us for the "The Last Ride" movie premiere thisThurs, October 20th, at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre (MPAC). This movie is about the last few days of Hank Williams life spent with a young driver who was unaware of his star status and the bond they formed.
Jett Williams and her husband Keith Adkinsonwill be here for the reception before the movie, along with Henry Thomas and Co-star Jesse James. Also music composer and Alabama-born Benjy Gaither (son of Nashville great, Bill Gaither) and producer Montgomery native, producer Rodney Stone. This will be a rare one-time event and great fun.
The reception will be from 6-7pm in the atrium outside of the theater, movie starts at 7:15 (running time is 114 minutes). Tickets are $20 and can be purchased on-line at www.mpaconline.org/ticket/ or by calling the MPAC ticket office at 334.481.5100. All tickets are general seating.
For every ticket purchased on-line one dollar will be donated to the “Governor’s Emergency Relief Fund” which goes to help the April tornado victims of Alabama.
There will be a cash bar at the reception and the MPAC concessions will be open throughout the evening selling food and drinks. The Exchange Lounge and House Restaurant will also both be open for those wanting to come early and enjoy dinner.
This movie is being shown in limited release beginning Friday, Oct 21st. The Rave theatre in Montgomery was chosen at one of 7 locations. It will open in January for full release around the country.
