On Saturday September 10, Troy University Rosa Parks Museum will host a lecture by artist E. Bruce Phillips Jr. on his current exhibit Different Perspectives. The lecture will take place at 11 am in the museum auditorium and following the lecture visitors will be able to view the exhibit Different Perspectives, which is on display in the Rosa Parks Museum exhibit hall through October 4.
Produced over a three-year period, Different Perspectives showcases a new level of maturity with creations celebrating human experiences and challenging social norms. Through figurative and architectural abstractions, Phillips takes his audience on a journey filled with music and sound, dance and sports, human triumphs and frailties, and social injustices and inequities.
This lecture is free and open to the public. For more information on this event please contact the museum curator, Viola Moten at 334-241-8701 or vmoten@troy.edu.
